About Our Church

Daniel Chapel is located in the South Suburbs of Chicago, IL. We are a community of faith that strives to love and spiritually enrich and empower individuals and families of all dynamics though the Word of God, prayer, discipleship and fellowship.

Enriching Individuals and Families Of All Dynamics With Christ Liberating Gospel - “There is one body and one Spirit - just as you were called, one Lord, one faith, one baptism: one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.” (Ephesians 4:4-6) At Daniel Chapel, our community warmly welcomes everyone to experience God’s Love, Word, and Power.

Vision Statement

Daniel Chapel will utilize its Christian experience as the moral foundation where spiritual relationships are developed by linking the community with the family of God. We will empower all through our Christian experience by mentoring, nurturing, and loving with integrity and humility through teaching and fellowship.

Our Ministry

Our ministry is focused on loving all and proclaiming the liberating gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching and preaching of God’s Word, Worship, Workshops, Seminars and Conferences.

Areas We Serve

We are based in Phoenix, Illinois in the communities of Chicago and the South Suburban Area. Also, we have an active social media ministry that enables us to reach the world for Christ and to disciple for Christian growth and development.

Enriching Individuals With Christ’s Liberating Gospel

“I’ve Got This – With Jesus! I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

At Daniel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, our community warmly welcomes those who want to experience God’s Word and love. By sharing and applying the lessons within Christ’s Gospel, we strengthen the spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and environmental needs of all.

Our Litany

We are a family. One God, One belief, One body. As the body of Christ, we are unified in our faith in a crucified and risen savior. According to God’s Word, our Lord is no respecter of persons and offers salvation to all mankind. Therefore, we are all the same in God’s sight, and God loves us, one and all. We accept each other as the Body of Christ and are heirs to His Kingdom. As God’s children, they will know we are family by our love. Our father in heaven has shown us how to love because God is love!

Daniel Chapel's History

Daniel Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church was organized in Phoenix, Illinois on July 17, 1938 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Grayson by Rev. Thomas L. Daniel. Services were held in the Grayson's home for about five weeks until the Community Club House was secured. Dr. Silas Samuels, who was then our presiding Elder, held the first Quarterly Conference. With the help of God, our membership increased and allowed the opportunity to purchase a building at 15110 9th Avenue

Not only do we have secure on-line giving, we also offer in-house ways of giving to support the ministry of Kingdom building at Daniel Chapel.

When in the building, you can donate by using the envelopes provided or simply placing funds in the offering tray.

As well, we have the ability to swipe your debit or credit card and receive a text or email confirmation. Finally, if you want to mail your donation to Daniel Chapel, 15250 3rd Ave, Phoenix, IL 60426, that is also an option.

All monetary donations are totaled for the year and provided in a contribution statement at the end of the year.

Secure Online Giving

Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each one should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able, to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

(2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
